Force 10 from Navarone

Force 10 from Navarone
Force 10 from Navarone (1978)

IMDB rating: 6.00

Plot: In the darkest days of World War II, Hitler’s armies are storming through Europe, annihilating all opposition in their path. But U.S. Colonel Barnsby (Ford) plots to strike a crippling blow to the brutal Nazi forces. To succeed, he’ll need the help of the most skilled and lethal soldiers in the world: the Force 10 squad, fresh from its triumphant mission at Navarone. But when the team’s plan goes awry in a firestorm of blistering battles, Barnsby and the squad’s hard-driving Major Mallory (Shaw) are forced to devise a new and even more dangerous scheme to attack the Nazi war machine . . . or risk losing the rest of Europe to its awesome, destructive power.

i find Force 10 from Navarone

Available versions:

DivX Version (Normal Quality), iPod/iPhone Version

Directors: Hamilton Guy

Actors: Shaw Robert,Ford Harrison,Fox Edward,Nero Franco,Weathers Carl,Kiel Richard,Alan Badel,Byrne Michael,Latham Philip,MacInnes Angus,Sheard Michael,Buntic Petar,Schofield Leslie,Langdon Anthony,Action,War,

What movie has this scene? Dead nazi officer salute?
It’s a ww2 flick (maybe force 10 from navarone) and the scene is characters escaping a POW camp (i think) in a car and as they pass the front gate, the guard salutes the dead officer in the back seat and one of the characters crouched down holds up the dead officer’s arm in response

It was force 10 from Navarone, when harrison ford an dthe british officer were rescuing their team from the Nazi’s and Partizans.

They will work together, also, Vista may be better if the games you play support DX10, otherwise, you’ll see it a little slower because Vista is a bigger resource hog than XP. I would say get it because Microsoft has SP2 in beta right now, so it will probably a few more months until it will be released. SP2 is said to lower the resource needed for Vista.

Please help - Is the Toshiba Satellite L455-S5989 64bit w/ Intel Celeron Processor (1.8 Ghz) a good Laptop?

I got it from Office depot for $379. It is 64-bit, comes with 4GB (upgradable to 8GB) & Windows 7.
The down side is the processor speed is only 1.8 GHz. The price and everything is very attractive but 1.8 GHz seems slow.

My questions are:
-Is this a good laptop for graphic design and heavy web usage (no gaming)?

-And what is better, a 32bit laptop with memory that max’s out at 4gb but has 2.3 ghz processor or a 64bit laptop that max’s out at 8gb and has 1.8 ghz processor?

Below are more specs

hey guys i have decided to ask this questions and explain the following things ive experienced over the past years of playing G.T.A

Well the first one i have seen was the orange lights in the sky. Some people say they are planes or stars. I believe it is U.F.O’s as once i was in the airport and waited for the orange light and as it appeared i hopped into the plane and followed. As i was following it my plane stopped moving and crashed down. Pretty weird if you ask me.

The second one i have experienced was the graffitie. I actually quite liked this one but it was nothing special.

One of my top favourites was the Loch Ness Monster or as i like to call it the water blaster. What happen was that i went to the area where everyone claimed the loch ness monster to be. I parashooted from my plane down into the sea. When i landed into the water. Carl refused to move as much as i pushed the water. I decided to hang aroung and see if i could make him move but nothing so as i was about to reset my game i see the surface of the sea like spraying water and moving around really fast. i looked under the water and all i saw was this really big looking dolphin/shark/snake figure and then it was gone. Pretty scary if you were in my shoes!!

My other experience was Piggsy. It was the most scariest moments ever. It was friday the 13th on my games callendar and midnight and it just happened to be raning with fog. I went to that mountain place and hanged around there. Went it was 1am on the games time i heard the sound of a chainsaw coming from behind me. I activated the cheat for a jetpack and flew up to safety and i did not see anyone.

This is all my experiences. My P.S.2 broke down just before christmas so i am getting it fixed so i can go exploring!!
Guys if there is anything else out there please tell me where you can find it! please share your stories and add photos!!
Thanks guys!

hi i have experienced carls mothers ghost i cant remember how you get in though soz but i was in carls old house and a ghost of his mother came in and it ran after you i went upstairs and it still followed me so i went outside and it disapeared now thats scary

On Deadly Ground

On Deadly Ground
On Deadly Ground (1994)

IMDB rating: 3.50

Plot: Posing as an environmental story about a corrupt oil company owner called Jennings, who will stop at nothing to open a new refinery in Alaska, this is just an excuse for another action film. Fists, feet, bullets and bombs galore as Forest Taft, a disgruntled employee, is chosen by an Eskimo chief as the saviour of his people. Forest’s mission is to prevent the new refinery going on-line before the land rights are returned to the Eskimos. The “God-damn” ludicrous dialogue is supposed to be “God-damn” serious, but you just try not “God-damn” laughing at it.

Can someone edit my first chapter to my story?
Now i know it is really bad but if some one could help me with it would be great.

The twins looked out the frosted glass window as millions of rain drops fell to the ground. They waited there all night but no one came. No one came to tuck them in at night and say I love or read them a story that ends with happily ever after.

8 years Later:

"Ash and jade wake up or your going to be late for school." A old woman yelled at them.
"Fine!!" ash said as she got out of bed. Ash went to the bathroom and looked in mirror. Her crayon red hair was a mess and she had black eyeliner smeared around her gray eyes.
"What time did you get in last night?" Ash jumped of voice of her twin.
"Its only me." Jade said now looking at her self in the mirror. Jades long black hair was straight as needles and her gray eyes glowed like moons.
"Don’t scare me like that." Ash was now combing her hair.
"Sorry next time I’ll bag some pots and pans before I walk in our bathroom." Jade said sarcastically.
The old woman who woke them up walked in the bath room. Her long silver hair was in a bun and she had a dress on with purple flowers on it. "Girls your going to be late lets go!" The old woman said to them. "Yes grams." Ash said back and jade stuck her tongue out at grams.
They got in there school uniforms on and went to the kitchen. The kitchen was small but bright, The walls were yellow and the kitchen cupboards where white. Ash grabbed a banana and the car keys off the kitchen counter. Jade grabbed the keys from ash, "I don’t think so I’m driving this time!" Jade said it with such force ash just glared at her.
"Don’t look at me like that, I can’t afford another ticket." Jade walked out the of the kitchen with ash at her heels.
They walked in to the family room and froze.
Grams was lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
Her Blood.
Ash screamed.
Then Two boys walk in the ajar door.
Ash screams again.
Shock ran across there faces when ash screamed then they looked at the body on the floor.
But before they could say anything Ash demanded from them, "Why? What did she ever do to you?"
"We didn’t." One of the boys said he was about sixteen and had dirty blonde hair that was curly and gold eyes.
"Yeah you’ve got it all wrong." The other boy said. He was about 17, He had hair like raven feathers and eyes like green emeralds.
Something hit Ash and fell to the floor.
"What the…?" ash picked it up. It was a small box and it was ticking.
The boy with gold hair grabbed the box and threw it in the hall way.

BOOM!!!
The explosion went everywhere in the small apartment building.
When ash opened her eyes she didn’t no what to say.
Everywhere in the apartment was burned except where they were standing.
The boy with raven feather hair had his hands up like he was creating a shield.
Had he?
"What just happened and who are you guys?" Jade asked.
"It looks like a bomb and I am Dani Martin and this( he waved a hand to the boy with raven black hair )is Blake Night." Dani said.
"What are you doing here?" Ash asked them.
"We came here for you guys." Blake said moving closer to Jade.
"What do you want with us?" Jade gave Blake one of her deadly glares. He didn’t seem to notice.
"We need your help." Dani said.
"With what?" Jade didn’t look away from blacks eyes.
"We can’t say here your going to have to come with us." Blake said to ash and jade but only looked at jade.
"And what if we don’t want to?" Jade said moving closer to Blake.
"Who said you had a say in it?" Blake said as he blow purple powder in Ash’s and Jades face.

Then everything went black….

i would say maybe make some more feelings to the story think of it when you read a book maybe than you could make a good chapter. i would also make it longer because it seems it would only take about 2-3 pages

Hope you like this :)

The somber twins looked out the frosted glass window as millions of shining rain drops fell to the ground, coming from a sky of dark ominous clouds. They waited, stationed in that same place all night long, expecting a figure to break through the heavy sheets of water and comfort them, but no one came. No one came to tuck them in at night, and say I love you sweetheart, I truly do. No one came to read them a story that ended with the wonderful, happily ever after they always craved for, but never could get…

8 years later:

"Ash! Jade! Wake up or your going to be late for school." A old woman yelled to the sleeping adolescents who rest lay, a near coma, in their beds.

"Fine!" Ash said as she got out of bed. Ash went to the bathroom and looked in mirror. Her crayon red hair was a mess and she had black eyeliner smeared around her gray eyes.
"What time did you get in last night?" Ash jumped at voice of her sister.
"Its only me." Jade said now looking at her self in the mirror. Jade’s long black hair was as straight as long needles and her gray eyes glowed like moons.
"Don’t scare me like that." Ash was now combing her hair.
"Sorry, next time I’ll bang some pots and pans before I walk in our bathroom." Jade retorts in playful sarcasm.

The old woman, their grandmother, walked in the bathroom. Her long silver hair was in a bun, her purple floral dress hanging from/hugging her aged body.

"Girls your going to be late. Lets go!" The old woman said to them. "Yes Grams." Ash said back and Jade stuck her tongue out at Grams.
They dressed themselves in their school uniforms and went into the kitchen. The kitchen was small but bright, the walls were yellow and the kitchen cupboards where white. Ash grabbed a banana and the car keys off the kitchen counter. Jade grabbed the keys from Ash.

"I don’t think so. I’m driving this time!" Jade said such determination, Ash was taken aback.

Jade purses her lips. "Don’t look at me like that, I can’t afford another ticket." Jade walked out the of the kitchen with Ash at her heels.
They walked in to the family room and freeze.

Grams was lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

Ash screams.

Two strangers walk into the door which, for some unknown reason, was ajar.

Ash screams again.

Shock etches itself across their faces when Ash screams. Then, they quickly look at the body on the floor.
But before they could say anything Ash demanded from them, "Why? What did she ever do to you?"
"We didn’t - " One of the boys said. He looked about sixteen and had dirty blonde hair that was curly and gold eyes.

Something hita Ash in the head/stomach/leg/etc. and falls to the floor.
"What the…?" Ash picked it up. It was a small box and it was ticking.
The boy with gold hair grabbed the box and threw it in the hall way.

BOOM!!!
The explosion went everywhere in the small apartment building.

Then everything went black….

Er…I kind of got lost after they found Grams dead. It was pretty good before that though. But I’m guessing these twins are magical or special or something. Is that why they have different hair and eye colors? Um.. It wasn’t too bad to fix up. Just things like, you should have used ‘their’ here instead of ‘there’ and spelling errors. In a few places you didn’t describe things well enough, like the beginning paragraph, which needed a lot of work to really picture. Other than that it was things like missing commas and no periods where there should have been. So…I hope that helps. I couldn’t resist editing it though. I love editing. I’m a writer as of now but I also want to edit. Good luck!

p.s. I’m only 13, so it may not be that good. but :) anways

Overthrowing the government…?

Why are so many people afraid to rise up and overthrow our government? Hasn’t all of this been enough? Vietnam, War on Terrorism, Federal Banking Reserve, CIA coup’s, Blackwater, bailouts?

I’m young, probably young enough not to have many people listen to me, as it is a lot of people think I’m crazy. This is the only place I could possibly reach out to people, but maybe not. I think for once, just once, all people should drop their titles, whether it be Anarchist,Socialist,Communist, Environmentalist, Patriot, and work together.

I mean, I see a lot of resistance groups who oppose our oppressive government, such as The American Patriot movement, but, they want illegal immigrants outside of the country, I see Anarchist groups who say human beings should be allowed to roam free, thus wanting to let in immigrants, but unlike the Patriot militia, they are fairly unorganized.

I see Democrats arguing with Republicans, and both shunning Communism, and Communists arguing with Socialists, I think it is all pointless, because I think in the end all groups really just want to help the people, their differences are very small in my opinion.

People tell me that violence is not the answer. So, peaceful blockades will convince the powers that be to close Guantanamo Bay, and stop torturing suspected terrorists? Will dancing outside a military base with your Pseudo-Hippie buddies convince the government to pull our troops out of the Middle East, from which they profit on both sides of the war? They don’t give a damn about us, it is all just a game to them. You might say Barack Obama will help, but recently I heard that a high ranking general wants to send around 60,00 troops to Afghanistan, but Obama only wants to send around 20,000, now I may be wrong on the numbers, but my point is whether it’s 60,000 or 20,000, they are still human beings that they are sending out their, and it doesn’t just effect them, it effects their friends and family, and the natives of the Arab countries! It’s all a game for them!

Don’t tell me "Like it or leave it" Because I can’t leave, and even if I could that would be selfish because I could not bring all my friends and family that I care about with me. Other people who might want to leave can not.Yea, instead of admitting what’s wrong with this country it’s just ‘love it or leave it’, right? There really are no electoral choices. If somebody admits that’s a problem then they get told to leave, huh?
What an ignorant bunch of mindless crap.
It’s that kind of attitude that really makes this country so fucked up.

Why do we still send our children to this forced education? Where they are forced (yes, forced) to recite the pledge of allegiance. Many Problems can happen at school. I understand people need to get an education, but if they don’t want to learn something, then why should they have to? I have heard many people say "you should be thankful that you have a right to an education, unlike other countries" Well, if I have a right to attend school, then why do I not have a right to leave whenever I please? If I do, I get arrested. Its not even up to the parents anymore.

Hell, I am even hearing about FEMA concentration camps coming soon, or that they are already here. I am hearing that we could go into Martial Law which would be when the government come up with and executes a planned disaster, then blaming on another country and going to war. It may be all lies or conspiracies, but if they were true, they wouldn’t surprise me because things very similar have happened in the past, such as the internment of Japanese American Citizens during World War 2, and the Gulf of Tonkin incident which turned out to be a lie, and that fueled the Vietnam War.

Why don’t the Anarchists, Green Anarchists, Socialists, Democrats,Patriots who believe in the Constitution(which our country has been stripped of), Anti-War, Pro-Human Rights, Militia Groups, why don’t we all come together and show our imperialist government that we mean business.

I don’t mean blockades and Marches, I mean Guerrilla Warfare, Conventional Warfare, whichever it may be. The people of this country need to wake up and see what is going on around them, and so far I have not met anyone who has.

We need to drop our differences and come together and fight the common enemy. No more arguing over "isms" or petty differences. Rebels in Cuba did it, Viet Cong did it, although I am not justifying some of the actions these groups committed, they inspire me and should serve as a model for the American people and other people around the world who are oppressed, such as the Northern Irish, or the Indigenous Indians in Latin America, because of they can do it, so can we!

I know it is illegal to say all this, and I may be sentenced to prison, but if that is the price I have to pay for at least getting this message to one like minded person, or having one of the blind sheeple wake up and join the resistance, then so be it. As it
As it is, the government is monitoring the internet and will probably come across this.

In closing: Wake up world, stop taking it up the butt at your peaceful marches and fight back. To all other fighters out there, my hopes go to you because at the moment I probably could not go through what you have gone through, but not for long. See you on the front lines
To the people saying to vote them out of office, we can not do that. The big corporations profit off of a capitalist government, and the higher power profit off of a capitalist government. They wouldn’t allow anything different or anyone who opposes that to come into office.
Also, the the person telling me to protest and boycott the government’s products, you really think the American people will want to do that? Or think we are crazy? The way our society has made us is sad, we rely on trivial things like gadgets, phones, lattes,$200 acne cream. Only the sound of gunfire will awaken the rest.
Sovereignty is Popular, I agree with you. And Thalia, I can foresee you lined up around the block for your swine flu vaccine, sucking down a Venti Caramel Latte, reading soap opera digest, wearing overpriced, uncomfortable shoes, admiring the the 89 Ford Taurus Wagon that just drove by with 25" wheels on it, passing on a text message that says "send this to 10 people you love or you’ll have bad luck forever," pondering the next season of American Idol, wondering if you remembered to take your Prozac that morning.

because if you overthrow a government you create a thing called a power vacume
and people start killing each other.

If the KKK were the group which overthrew the government you would not be happy.
|unfortunatly your plan only works if the group that overthrows the government is a group everybody likes.

Would you do what the kkk told you to do after the coup or would you join a group to overthrow them?
then is you succeded a right wing group would say "Im not being governed by a left wing group I didnt vote for Lets overthrow them"

There is are countries which have worked on this model

They are mainly in Africa and they are usually pretty bleak places to be
0 | Nov 26, 2009

You do know that it’s treason to speak of overthrowing our government. And during a time of war, you can be put to death for treason.

How about rein in this nonsense about overthrowing the government and instead practice protest. If that isn’t enough, run for office. Just drop the treasonous talk. If you’re trying to make your mom and dad made or impress your girl friend, there are other ways.
Blobbie | Nov 26, 2009

probably because they are fed fear through the mass media. and their are agencies that pay attention to groups organizing and often stop them before they can do anything drastic… usually through methods like paying friendly visits to their mother’s houses and politely asking them to stop with what they are doing or their mom might die of "food poisoning" in the near future.

imagine if you did get past all that and got an entire town against them. they would probably be conveniently wiped out by the next "terrorist" country they seek to invade and youve done nothing but further aid their cause. because when that happens thats gonna ignite some mighty fearse anger in a lot of patriotic people’s hearts and the military gets big bump in new recruits.

but don’t fear! if your sick of it you can vote for the secret agent who promises to put an end to the corruption and bring change! ofcourse obama got elected we had the great choice bush jr. 2 or the new exciting guy whos gonna change everything… i didn’t vote.
realistically pessimistic man | Nov 26, 2009

I think alot of people would like to overthrow the government, but things like dieing and getting thrown in prison forever are significant deterrents.

It’s not treason to talk, or even attempt, to overthrow the gov’t. The gov’t owes allegiance to us, not the other way around. "When any government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish.."

We are supposed to be the sovereign body. The state and federal gov’ts are supposed to be our servants. Lately, though, these "servants" have been punishing us for not meeting their demands.
Sovereignty is Popular | Nov 26, 2009

No thanks. I will just go and vote instead.

turkey qualify for world cup?

After todays performance against bosnia, does anyone think turkey still has a chance to qualify after getting a tie 1-1. I believe turkey would have to win every single game left. opinions??

ya !

jesi | Sep 09, 2009

I think it will be too difficult.

Bosnia would have to lose to both Estonia and and to what will probably be a Spanish B team (they could draw one, but then it would go to GD and Bosnia has +10 GD over Turkey) and Turkey would have to win against Armenia and Belgium.

Turkey should be able to win both of their games, but for Bosnia to lose to Estonia doesn’t really seem possible, unless Bosnia play really really bad.
Allahu Akbar ???? ???? | Sep 09, 2009

I’m not from Turkey, but I do like your national team, and I really hope they do! You guys are 4 points away from Bosnia, and Im not sure if Bosnia will loose to Estonia. But anything can happen in soccer! Good luck!
mistik | Sep 09, 2009

I think Bosnia deserve to play on the WC.
They are small country, without football tradition, but they give their maximum on every single game!
Red Star | Sep 11, 2009

Bosnia should have beat Turkey especially on their own pitch! Turkey plays hard but whines to the ref’s on every play that doesn’t go their way. During the game against Bosnia, their coach had to go sit in the crowd because he kept yelling and cursing at the official.

Turkey still has a shot but they cannot make any mistakes and they also need to quit yelling at the refs! Bosnia will beat Estonia in my opinion.

if i use cream instead of milk in my green bean casserole will it come out ok?

i was just looking at the back of this crunchy onion can and the recipe for green bean casserole. Ill still be doing it the lazy way with the canned cream of mushroom soup instead of making it from scratch. but i was wondering if i use heavy cream instead of milk will it come out creamier, or too thick?

It will definitely be too thick. Try adding chicken stock to the cream of mushroom instead, and then add a little heavy cream if needed.
Chef Gray | Nov 20, 2009

Of course but it would be thick though. You can add broth. to make it thinner.
Jeanette | Nov 20, 2009

I would say yes
